Cory Biers has been a loan officer at First State Bank since 1994. His knowledge and experience in the mortgage department allows him to match the correct loan that works best for you.

Cory has lived in Mendota his whole life. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he worked for Farmers Home Administration before joining First State Bank. He and his wife Becky have three children.

I graduated from the University of Illinois was born and raised in Rochelle, married and have 2 daughters.

I have been in banking since 1980. I work with Consumer, Real Estate and Commercial loans. I have worked at bank’s in Rochelle since 1990. I’ve been at this location since 11/2003.

I am the Community President for First State Bank in Bloomington, IL and focus on the management, growth, and long term planning for our continued success in the Central Illinois region.  I also serve as a Commercial Lender with emphasis in commercial and residential real estate, as well as small business and C&I lending.  I was elected to the Board of Directors of First State Mortgage Services in 2015, a wholly owned Subsidiary of First State Bank, and continue to provide value in the ongoing and future success of the Company.   

I began as a Commercial Credit Analyst for a regional bank and worked my way up to becoming a Residential and Commercial Lender. After becoming a top producing Commercial Lender over the next 6 years, I was promoted to Community President in 2015.

Peg Orland brings 40 years of mortgage banking experience to her customers and is currently the banks Residential Portfolio Loan Originator for the Fox Valley Area. She has made St. Charles her home with her husband Keith for the past 27 years. Peg believes that the mortgage process should be a painless experience for the customer and that it is important to educate the consumer so that the type of loan they choose is the correct fit for their situation. She has built her reputation by treating her customers with respect and personally handles the transaction from beginning to end. Her customers as well as local real estate attorneys and title company personnel will attest to her dedication and expertise.
